Real Madrid vs Chelsea results in Leg I, Benzema Brings Los Blancos Superior

Real Madrid vs Chelsea in the first leg of the 2022-2023 Champions League Quarterfinals will be discussed in this article. Competing at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday (13/4/2023) in the morning WIB, Real Madrid won 2-0 over Chelsea. 

Regarding Real Madrid's goals scored by Karim Benzema (22') and Marco Asensio (75'). With that win, Real Madrid currently have a 2-0 aggregate lead over Chelsea. Furthermore, the two teams will meet again in the second leg, which will take place at Stamford Bridge, Wednesday 19 April 2023.

First round 

Acting as a guest, Chelsea is not afraid to face Real Madrid. At the start of the game, Frank Lampard's team immediately got a chance through Raheem Sterling.

Unfortunately, Sterling's efforts in the penalty box were thwarted by Real Madrid's defense. On the other hand, both teams also played hard. 

The court judge issued two yellow cards before the game even entered the 10th minute. Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana received a yellow card in the fifth minute after fouling Vinicius Jr. 

Then in the seventh minute, it was the turn of the Real Madrid player, Eduardo Camavinga, who received a yellow card. Entering the 12th minute, Real Madrid got a chance through Karim Benzema.

The French player got a chance in the penalty box. However, Benzema's left-foot shot was still too weak and the ball was caught by Kepa. Real Madrid appear more confident. 

The home team also managed to take the lead when entering the 22nd minute through Benzema's flick. 

The goal was created after Vinicius Jr. made a flick towards Kepa. The spit-up ball was successfully utilized by Benzema, who stood free in front of the goal. 

Real Madrid won 1-0. 

Missed one goal, Chelsea reacted. The Blues (Chelsea's nickname) got a chance through Sterling. However, Sterling's efforts were thwarted by Thibaut Courtois. After that, both teams did not score again. The first half closed 1-0 in favor of Real Madrid.

Second round 

Entering the second half, the composition of the Real Madrid and Chelsea players has not changed. Because both teams have not made any changes.

On the other hand, El Real is getting crazier by launching an attack on Chelsea's goal. Not even five minutes into the second half, Luka Modric had the opportunity to widen El Real's advantage. 

The Croatian player received a flat pass from Benzema. But it's a shame, his right-footed shot still soared over Kepa's goal. 

Furthermore, Chelsea increasingly difficult to develop the game. Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell received a red card after violating Rodrygo near the penalty box in the 59th minute.

Enea Bastianini underwent a fitness test before being allowed to race at COTA

History records that Antonio Cassano's career was not too bright. Bought by Real Madrid from AS Roma in 2006, Cassano only wore a white uniform for a year and then was loaned to Sampdoria and finally sold there permanently in 2008.

Cassano only made 29 appearances for Madrid in all competitions with a contribution of four goals. His best performance was indeed when he was in Rome from 2001 to 2006 with 52 goals in 162 matches in all competitions.

Manchester City Mute Southampton with an astonishing score, Southampton vs Manchester City: Score 1-4

Manchester City won a big win in Week 30 of the 2022/2023 EPL. Visiting Southampton headquarters, The Citizens were able to win with a landslide score of 4-1.

Manchester City took the lead in this match thanks to Erling Haaland's goal at the end of the first half. In the second half, City added to their tally through goals from Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, while Southampton reduced the score thanks to a goal by Sekou Mara.

Thanks to this result, Manchester City is firmly in second place in the EPL standings with 67 points, while Southampton is still stuck at the bottom of the standings with 23 points.

Status as a guest team, Manchester City immediately appeared pressing. Pep Guardiola's men immediately dominated possession from the start of the match.

City increasingly confident after scoring the goal. In the 68th minute, Jack Grealish made it into the penalty box and then gave an overturned pass to the unmarked Haaland, and the bomber made an overhead kick and entered the Southampton goal. The score changed to 3-0 in favor of City.

Despite trailing by three goals, Southampton did not just give up. In the 73rd minute, substitute Sekou Mara managed to find the net after a short cross from Moussa Djenepo managed to penetrate the City defense with his individual action. Score changed to 3-1.

City did not take long to reply to Southampton's goal. One minute later, City were awarded a penalty after Kevin De Bruyne was brought down by Walker-Peters in the forbidden box.

Substitute striker Julian Alvarez stepped up as the executioner and successfully scored City's fourth goal in this match. The position changed to 4-1 in favor of the visitors.

In the remainder of this second half, City still dominated the match. But until the referee blew the whistle signaling the end of the match, the score lasted 4-1 for City's victory.

Everton vs Tottenham: Harry Kane is a disgrace!

Liverpool - Harry Kane sparked controversy in the match between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton. The Lilywhites striker was considered embarrassing after the incident with Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Tottenham visit Everton headquarters in the Premier League continued, Tuesday (4/4/2023) early morning WIB. The match was marked by hot tension in the 58th minute.

Harry Kane then provoked Doucoure by pulling his opponent's shirt. Doucoure replied by throwing a hand grip on the face of the England national team captain.

Doucoure's grip made Kane fall while holding his face and turning his body on the field. Doucoure immediately got a red card from the referee. Kane scored for Tottenham from the spot 10 minutes later. Michael Keane's goal near the end of the match forced the duel to a 1-1 draw.

One who criticized Kane's attitude was Chris Sutton. The former Chelsea player even called Kane's action shameful. "Harry Kane keeping his head down like that is embarrassing," Sutton tweeted. Similar comments were made by Jamie Carragher. The Liverpool legend couldn't stop thinking how Kane could fall just because of that.

"Look, the argument isn't about the red card, Harry Kane shouldn't have gone down because of that," Carragher told Sky Sports. Never do that again on the pitch," Carragher said.
