LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - APRIL 03: Abdoulaye Doucoure of Everton lashes out at Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur which results in a straight red card during the Premier League match between Everton FC and Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park on April 3, 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

"It can still be a red card for putting your hand in someone's face, Doucoure was wrong and I'm sure Sean Dyche will tell him. However, I will not fall like that as a player," he continued.

"I don't think it's enough to get you down, and again, if I did it on the pitch I would be embarrassed and if I saw my own son, who is a player, do that - yes, it might help his team win, against 10 of us left - but when we get back to the car I'll just say what did you do there? Never do that again on the pitch," Carragher said.
